Message from Director, Student Support Services
Dear Students,
You have probably been made aware of the change of guard at the helm of the Directorate of Students Support Services with effect from mid February 2017 which ushered me in as the new Director of Students Support Services. It is my great pleasure to serve you in this capacity and I look forward to a fruitful and healthy interaction as we journey together in making your stay at TUK enjoyable, peaceful and fulfilling.
The Office of the Director Students Support Services (DSSS) exists to serve you and provide an environment for you to grow holistically. Our goal is to ensure you get access to a high quality experience that will complement and enhance the education and training that you get at TUK. In this regard my office is committed to being your partner in your quest to reach your academic and social goals.
Great institutions are built by its members and a strong institutional culture is key to our marketability. Therefore, as key partners in this institution I want to encourage you to selflessly nurture and protect our tradition and policies as we all strive to establish a robust institutional culture based on our core values of Creativity and innovation, Excellence, Respect, Integrity and Impartiality, Compassion, Social Responsibility, Professionalism and Team Spirit.
At the Directorate of Students Support Services, we remain committed to advocating and supporting your welfare issues while on campus throughout your years of study at TUK and shall always be available to provide assistance to you in dealing with the challenges you may face, in alleviating crisis, and in guiding you to become responsible citizens. In addition, we will support co-curricular experiences to enhance your growth and development while at TUK and I encourage all students to identify and actively participate in such activities.
Lastly, as your advocate I am ready and available to consult with you on matters concerning your wellbeing. Besides, we are your most important contact point for any explanation on the University’s policies and procedures. Therefore, should you have any questions regarding our services; I encourage you to visit our office on 4th Floor Block L. I look forward to working with you and to facilitate a rich university experience as you strive to achieve your goals.
